VLP Project- Ladybird Johnson’s Wild Flower Center Gala- Lesley Nowlin and i created a fun unique piece for the gala auction called the “Flower Girl”. The estimated value was around $850 which we received from the first bidder. Yeah!!!!!! It was a fun interesting night. To see more of our recent commission work go to our link. So i took on the job of creating and printing a wedding package for my Seattle friends. I had been wanting to do this for a while so dived in once i got the opportunity. First i drew out several ideas on paper with reference to guide lines they had sent me. The wedding ceremony is to take place in Italy so bright fun colors and old ceramic wear was my go to. Lemons being the only requirement. I started with text/hand drawn and then worked the patter around that. Here are the first concrete ideas i came up with…
