I created this piece for a competiton a couple of years ago. It was inspired by the lightness of spring in Austin. First the drawings were created on paper then cutout one by one & arranged on a rectangular background to create a framework. The style is fun and reminiscent of some modern Japanese artists I admire. The frame was made especially for the piece and has no glass so you can see & feel the details.
